Ultrasound Technologist - Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

Mobile Health Team Inc. a staffing agency has an opening for an Ultrasound Technologist Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. We are looking for someone with a passion for people.

Location: The Dalles OR 97058

Assignment Start Date: 5/27/2024

13 weeks Varied 8or10hour shift 40 hours guaranteed weekly

Working under general supervision the incumbent performs the duties of a Sonographer for diagnostic purposes in alignment with the mission values and goals of the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Demonstrates safe and effective operation of all diagnostic imaging equipment and processes by applying knowledge of principles of radiation safety.
• Prepare and position patients for procedures by using established protocols to achieve the highest quality image.
• Explains procedures to patients obtaining and recording patient histories and consent forms as needed.
• Properly positions patients with appropriate devices to obtain a desired anatomic position.
• Select techniques and correct protocols for exams and manipulate reconstructed images using a wide variety of available computer functions to optimally visualize desired anatomy.
• Reviews verifies and evaluates images to ensure technical quality and image quality.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION

Experience:

• Two years of previous experience in the appropriate modality field of imaging preferred

Education:

• Must be a graduate of a diagnostic imaging program

Licenses Certifications and/or Registration:

• Currently applicable state licensure in Diagnostic Sonography and national registration in Sonography (ARDMS) are required.
• ARDMS(AB) and ARDMS(BR) are preferred
• BLS/CPR Certification: Personnel providing direct care in patient care and diagnostic areas are required to acquire and maintain BLS/CPR certification.

EMR System: EPIC experience preferred
