Job Description

This is a remote position.

DT Technician

Salary: Up to £22,000 per annum

Brent

Job Start: April 2023


Are you qualified to degree level in DT, Art (or related courses)?

Would you be keen on working within a school setting as an DT Technician?

I am recruiting for an DT Technician to join a recent Ofsted rated Outstanding school in Brent, North West London for April 2023. This is a April 2023 start role at one of the leading secondary schools in Brent.

About School:

The school have recently moved into their new, bright and airy building, which will feature a new library and a dining hall opening onto a courtyard, along with modern classrooms, a 5-court sports hall and a sixth form common room and study space. Outside, staff and students will benefit from a new all-weather pitch for sports like football, hockey, rugby and cricket and a multi-use games area for sports like basketball, netball and mini-tennis.


Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with suppliers in the repair and maintenance of all machines and equipment
  • Preparing teaching materials, resources, and models as required to ensure effective support for teaching staff in the DT department
  • To Assist with inventory of equipment and stock control to maintain materials. Ordering stock as directed by the Head of Department so that resources are adequate for lessons
  • Embody the schools core values integrity, courage, community, and mastery in all aspects of work and conduct
  • Maintaining and creating safe and tidy storage areas and storage systems
  • Working with Head of Department to organise departmental safety audits
  • Assistant classroom teachers as directed to produce creative displays for the department
