Job Description
As a Cash Application Specialist you will be responsible for payment allocation bank reconciliation and investigating customer inquiries and disputes utilizing the Zendesk system. Your duties will include processing all cash transactions on a daily basis and reconciling bank statements to maintain accurate and timely financial records. - Be responsible for payment allocation bank reconciliation and investigation of customer inquiries and disputes using the Zendesk system.
- Process all cash transactions daily and reconcile bank statements ensuring accurate and timely financial records.
- Analyze bank transactions collaborate with internal teams to understand their nature and accurately record them in the general ledger.
- Review and categorize supplier invoices and payments with the team.
- Maintain clear communication with the Finance Operations Manager keeping them informed of progress and promptly escalating any issues.
- Conduct regular audits of usage reports compared to bank statements identifying and resolving discrepancies with the service provider.
- Foster strong working relationships with colleagues across different departments.
- Collaborate with various teams to ensure all their payments are recorded accurately and on time.
- Maintain customer accounts update contact information and ensure accurate records of customer interactions.
- Possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to identify and implement corrective actions for accurate daily bank reconciliations.
- Perform other duties delegated from time to time by the Finance Operations Manager.
