Job Description
Please Note:
- Selected candidate must reside within two (2) hours of the clients Headquarters in Woodlawn MD
- Selected candidate must be willing to work onsite at least 2 days a week
Position Description:
- Coordinate with Leads and develop Advanced Ab Initio graphs and Ab Initio Plans write complex Linux wrapper scripts and be productive on the work deliverables.
- Execute the SQL queries against Greenplum database monitor daily loads and write the advanced queries to get summarized data.
- Support all the production loads debug the failures and provide the resolutions.
Key Required Skills:
GDE Co>Op PSETS PDL Programming Meta Programming Generic Graphs and usage of Conduct>IT (Plans).
Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology Management Information Systems or a related field with 3 years of experience
- Masters or Doctorate degree may substitute for required experience.
- 5 years of experience working with strong datawarehouse and ETL Ab Initio tool background.
- Experience working with relational database like Oracle DB2 and PostgreSQL.
- Experience working with UNIX/ Linux bash scripting.
- Experience working in a fastpaced development environment with drive to completion.
- Experience using Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Well versed with using version control systems (EME and Git).
- Analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. Contract requirement.
Required Skills:
- Strong handson experience in datawarehouse and ETL Ab Initio tool background.
- Excellent working knowledge of Ab Initio suites of product GDE Co>Op PSETS PDL Programming Meta Programming Generic Graphs and usage of Conduct>IT (Plans).
- Good experience in various Abinitio parallelism techniques and implement overall solutions comprising of ETL jobs involving heavy volumes of data.
- Knowledge on EME version control Ab Initio air commands m commands and UNIX/Linux shell scripting.
- Experience working with various Ab Initio components such as Rollup Scan Join Partition by key Normalize Gather Merge Sort Lookup etc.
- Proficient and comfortable with Ab Initio metaprogramming using vectors and implementing tuning techniques for performance improvement.
- Strong knowledge of any database such Oracle DB2 or Greenplum is a must.
- Flexible to support ongoing BAU production jobs and release activities.
- Must have knowledge on data warehousing concepts data modeling and expert level Database/SQL skills.
- Proficient in creating documentation related to design documents Unit testing handover and walkthrough documents.
- Analyze (though proof of concept performance and endtoend testing) and effectively coordinate the infrastructure/service needs working with the architecture and Data Center teams.
- Closely work with the architecture team to review the design and ETL code.
- Identify and apply best practices and standard operating procedures.
- Create innovative solutions to meet the technical needs of customers .
- Experience with Agile development practices.
- Excellent communication and written skills.
Desired Skills:
- Working experience in AWS and knowledge of the Cloud environment.
- Business Intelligence MIBI Reporting tools like Tableau and WebFOCUS.
- Experience with Telephony or high volumes of transactional data.
- Work closely with customer technical leads and other client team members.
- All other duties as assigned or directed.
Basic Qualifications: Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities needed. Bachelor s Degree and 7 years of work experience, Master s Degree and 5 years of work experience, or 11 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree. Must possess the F5 Certified Technology Specialist or Solutions Expert Level Certification. Seasoned industry professional with 3 -5 years of hands-on server load balancing experience in medium to large enterprise networks. 4 year of experience with network connectivity for physical and virtualized servers. 4 year of Experience installing and configuring network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, etc. 4 year of experience with the communication network using TCP/IP protocol. Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical topics to management and non-technical audiences, as well as interface with the customer on a daily basis. Must be able to obtain a Position of Trust designation Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with these skills will be given preferential consideration. Passed VMWare Data Center Virtualization or End User Computing examination Passed Cisco CCNP Certification Prior hands on experience with Cisco networks Knowledge of networking protocols such Domain Name Server (DNS), Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) Knowledge of IP routing protocols and implementations
