You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailOur client the Central Okanagan Food Bank (COFB) is a nonprofit charitable organization committed to creating a healthy hungerfree community by providing healthy nutritious food to those who need it most. They rely on the generosity of the community to support the work they do through the donation of food funds and time. These donations come from individuals families organizations and community groups as well as various fundraising/foodraising efforts.
They are currently seeking a driven Program Manager to join their team in Kelowna BC and to provide oversight of their full suite of programs. As the successful candidate you will spearhead the development and maintenance of initiatives aligned with key directives focusing on creating a healthy hungerfree community in the Okanagan.
Reporting to the Executive Director this newly established position offers you the chance to help shape a role uniquely tailored to you! You will lead a team of passionate Program Coordinators and a valuable team of Volunteers while overseeing key programs like Food for Thought More than Food and Food Education. These programs are critical to addressing food insecurity across the region. A typical day in this role will include program management including planning and evaluation of the various food programs; communication and advocacy; client services; training and education; and emergency response. Key Responsibilities:
As the successful candidate you will have relevant postsecondary education leadership experience demonstrated knowledge of communitybased programs and provincial support systems as well as the ability to demonstrate the principles of equity diversity and inclusion in all aspects of work.

This is a fulltime onsite opportunity (Monday Friday 40 hours per week). Salary will be aligned with experience level and is anticipated to start between $29 to $32 an hour. In addition to base salary the COFB offers a comprehensive benefit plan and a vacation entitlement that allows for work/life integration.
