Seeking a detailoriented and organized Payroll Administrative Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of payroll processing and providing administrative support to the HR department.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and processing of biweekly or monthly payroll for employees
- Verify timekeeping records and ensure accurate computation of wages overtime and deductions
- Process payroll adjustments including salary changes bonuses and commissions
- Address employee inquiries regarding payroll matters in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain accurate records of employee attendance leave and other related data
- Prepare payroll reports for management review
- Assist with payroll tax calculations and filings
- Collaborate with HR team to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements
- Handle confidential information with integrity and discretion
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree in Accounting Finance or related field preferred
- Proven experience as a payroll clerk or administrative assistant preferably in a corporate setting
- Strong understanding of payroll principles regulations and best practices
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g. ADP Paychex) and MS Office applications especially Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information
