Company in Kempton Park seeks a suitably qualified and experienced Bookkeeper to join their finance department. This role offers the chance to work in a fastpaced environment and contribute to the financial success of a thriving organization.
The candidate will be expected to:
Verify expenditure documents to ensure the required documents and signatures are in place prior to processing
Process invoices into the financial management system.
Compile expenditure and other account reconciliations for review by the line manager
Compile and ensure that all reports and documentation are generated and submitted according to specified standards and requirements and within the allocated time frame.
Assist the line manager in the preparation and information gathering for the following:
Monthly journals
Monthly reconciliations
Assist the line manager in retreating supporting documentation in responding to audit queries
Maintain department records and files to ensure information is safeguarded kept upto date and filed accurately
Ad hoc administrations duties as needed
Maintain accurate and uptodate financial records using accounting software.
Record financial transactions including accounts payable and receivable invoices and payments.
Provide support and assistance to colleagues as needed.
Candidate requirements:
Matric
Completed Diploma in accounting and related field.
5 – 7 years’ experience in an accounting environment
MS Office Pastel Evolution
Skills required: Detailed orientated person with excellent problemsolving skills.
An adaptable person with strong leadership skills.
Ability to manage horizontally and vertically.
Effective communicator and results orientated person.
Ability to work under pressure and meet reporting deadlines.
