Job Description

Core Description
• Responsible for overseeing and coordinating the marketing activities for the Business as a whole.
• Support overseeing and coordinating the marketing activities for the Bimeda AMEA region as and when required.
• Responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and promote the Company products/ services withing the animal health market in Southern Africa.
• The employee must be able to conduct market research carry out campaigns identify target audience and evaluate current trends within the Animal Health pharmaceutical industry.

Key Deliverables / Primary Functions
• Develop marketing strategies and implement approved market plans per business unit to meet The company’s objectives and targets considering and aligning with Parent Company Marketing principles.
• Support where necessary Parent Company marketing needs.
• Conducting market research to identify potential customers and new opportunities.
• Creating marketing campaigns and promotions aligned with BU managers that effectively reach the target audience.
• Developing and managing marketing budgets aligned with BU managers to ensure that campaigns are delivered within budget.
• Working closely with the sales team to develop sales strategies that complement marketing activities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders such as suppliers media partners and customers.
• Managing the production of marketing materials such as brochures leaflets and promotional items.
• Oversee the designers to ensure accurate and timeous output.
• Tracking and analyzing marketing campaign results to ensure that objectives are met and ROI is maximized.
• Managing and supervising marketing staff and other related personnel day to day execution of responsibilities.
• Developing marketing staff and other related personnel.
• Staying up to date with industry trends and developments to ensure that the company remains competitive in the market.
• Event planning (conferences training expo’s logistics bookings stand layout/ planning) all budgeting and planning of the promoitems relevant to the event at hand.
• Managing the complete control of promoitems and associated processes to ensure items utilised effectively aligned with main purpose.
• Communication – internal and external coordination.
• Website Management in conjunction with developers.
• Social media management – managing overseeing the executing of creating consistent meaningful content on all social media platforms including writing and editing social media posts improving customer engagement and promoting social media campaigns.

Core Functional Knowledge/ Skills
• Knowledge of marketing concepts
• Project management
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Advantages will be Adobe Illustrator Adobe InDesign Adobe Photoshop & CorelDraw.
• Excellent communication and delegation techniques
• Experience using analytical software.
• Ability to translate between Afrikaans and English

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree in Marketing/Communications/Digital/Brand Management/Business Administration or related field.

Experience
• Min 57 years Marketing Management experience in same/similar role.
• 3 or more years of digital marketing and social media including planning and managing.
• 3 or more years’ experience working with SEO and Google ads.
• 3 years people management experience.
• Experience managing 3rd parties (eg research /digital agencies).
• Solid understanding of market trends and consumer behaviors.
• Advantageous
Knowledge of agricultural veterinary or pharmaceutical industry.

Special Requirements
• Valid driver’s licence
• Required to travel locally and country wide.
• Willingness to travel internationally as and when required.
• Valid Passport
• Willing to sign an NDA and adhere to restraint of trade requirements.
