Job Description

Mobile Health Team Inc. a staffing agency has an opening for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant(COTA). We are looking for someone with a passion for people.

Location: Frederick MD 21701

Assignment Start Date: 5/9/2024

13 weeks Days 8or10hour shift 40 hours weekly

The Estimated Weekly Total is based on working the listed hours per week and includes available stipend amounts. Please contact a recruiter for full details.

This is a Full Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant position; schedule is Monday Friday with an expectation of one weekend day per month one major holiday per year and one minor holiday per year.

This is a large team with a fastpaced hospital environment in which clinicians treat a variety of diagnoses with a common mix of orthopedics neurological behavioral health and critical care caseloads. Be a part of this team with an excellent reputation for service to its patients.

The responsibilities:

  • Deliver quality occupational therapy services according to treatment plans for patients
  • Document with webbased software and documentation system (EMR)
  • Provide accurate and timely documentation for current patient caseload
  • Meet all clinical departmental and regulatory expectations
  • Conduct patient and family education
  • Participate in a positive work environment to promote teamwork and communication

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION

Experience:

  • Has one (1) year of hospital acute experience or experience in a skilled environment
  • New graduates with strong acute clinical rotations welcome to apply
  • SNF experience preferred.

Education:

  • Degree from a ACOTE accredited school

Licenses Certifications and/or Registration:

  • Current state licensure or eligibility in Occupational Therapy in Maryland
  • Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association

Shift: Monday Friday with one weekend day/month

EMR System: Meditech

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Will display strong skills in flexibility time management and communication
  • Focuses on the patient and providing the utmost in customer service excellence
