Job Title: Senior Manufacturing Project Engineer
Location: Midland Georgia
Job Description & Skill Requirement:
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage manufacturing projects from initiation to closure including planning scheduling and execution phases.
- Develop detailed project plans timelines and budgets and monitor progress against milestones and deliverables
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders including production engineering procurement and quality assurance teams to ensure alignment with project objectives
- Identify and mitigate project risks anticipate challenges and implement corrective actions to maintain project timelines and budgets
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to optimize manufacturing processes enhance product quality and reduce production costs
- Conduct feasibility studies process evaluations and costbenefit analyses to support decisionmaking and project prioritization
- Provide technical expertise and support to manufacturing operations troubleshooting issues and implementing sustainable solutions
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives leveraging Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements safety standards and quality management systems in all manufacturing activities
- Update status reports present project status to customers and work project management to ensure productive and consistent customer communication.
- Understand and adhere to all export control regulations.
- Travel locally onsite to the customer facility several days per week as needed and comply with all customer site requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering Industrial Engineering Manufacturing Engineering or related field
- 7 year(s) of relevant experience
- Expert understanding of manufacturing processes equipment and systems
- Proficient in project management tools and methods; MS Project Lean Six Sigma Agile ect.
- Outstanding analytical and problemsolving skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Outstanding customer interfacing skills
- Demonstrated leadership abilities
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience in manufacturing project management preferably in a regulated industry such as aerospace
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
- Experience with CAD/CAM software and manufacturing automation technologies
- Knowledge of regulatory standards such as ISO 9001 AS9100 or FDA regulations
- An understanding of engineering outsourcing business practices
- Experience writing or creating standard work establishing processes and documenting lessons learned
