Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Infotainment Tester to join our team. The Infotainment Tester will be responsible for testing and evaluating the functionality performance and user experience of infotainment systems in vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing particularly in the automotive industry and a passion for ensuring the quality and reliability of cuttingedge technology.
Responsibilities:
- Develop test plans test cases and test scripts for infotainment systems based on system requirements and design specifications.
- Execute test cases manually and/or using automated testing tools to verify the functionality usability and performance of infotainment features such as navigation audio/video playback voice recognition Bluetooth connectivity and smartphone integration.
- Conduct regression testing to ensure that software updates and bug fixes do not negatively impact existing functionality.
- Identify document and track defects found during testing and work closely with development teams to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including software developers product managers and quality assurance engineers to ensure that infotainment systems meet quality standards and customer expectations.
- Participate in design reviews requirement discussions and other meetings to provide input on testability usability and performance considerations.
- Stay informed about industry trends emerging technologies and best practices in automotive infotainment testing and contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 3 years of experience in software testing with a focus on infotainment systems in the automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of infotainment technologies and protocols such as CAN Ethernet Bluetooth and WiFi.
- Experience with testing tools such as Vector CANoe CANalyzer Wireshark and JIRA.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies including Agile and Waterfall.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail with the ability to troubleshoot and isolate issues effectively.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams and communicate test results and findings clearly.
- Experience with automated testing tools and scripting languages such as Python Selenium or Robot Framework (preferred).
- ISTQB or other relevant software testing certifications (preferred).
- Passion for automotive technology and a desire to contribute to the development of cuttingedge infotainment systems that enhance the driving experience for customers.
