Strategic Sourcing Manager IT Procurement

In order to further strengthen the Supply Base Management Team NXP is seeking to recruit young high potentials with a fascination for IT who have previous experience in nonproduct related purchasing and who are thrilled to go for a next challenge.

The Sourcing Managers will be responsible for the strategic direction of assigned IT commodity groups (IT Software IT Hardware and IT Services) and for the translation of NXPs IT requirements into agreements with bestinclass vendors. You will report to the respective Supply Base Manager and work closely with NXPs IT organizations as well as with other staff organizations.

The key areas of responsibility include:

• Commodity Strategy Development Develop implement and manage commodity strategies and sourcing plans in close alignment with business stakeholders.
• Supply Base Management Develop a supplier base within the assigned commodity group that meets business needs and improve the supply base to worldclasslevel.
• Stakeholder Management Build multilevel relationships with the IT business in order to ensure that supplier management strategies contribute to bottomline business success.
• Negotiation Lead cross functional teams during commercial negotiations with suppliers and define what good looks like in terms of total cost of ownership.
• Sourcing & Contracting Lead supplier selection processes in line with commodity strategies manage legal contracts and ensure all aspects of regulatory compliance are adhered to in the procurement process including documentation.
• Supplier Evaluation Conduct supplier evaluations and ensure continuous improvement of service quality and alignment with market trends.

The Sourcing Managers we are looking for are dynamic and proactive professionals with a special interest in the interface between the commercial aspects of purchasing and IT related commodities who are able to manage IT sourcing projects and collaborate with content experts and business stakeholders as well as with IT suppliers. You are willing to become a sourcing expert in the assigned commodity groups and you have the ability to transcend daily operations by using your strategic focus. You find energy in working in a truly global organization while supporting multiple time zones (flexible timing may be required).

Required education and skills are on academic/bachelor level with minimal 5 years of purchasing related experience in an international environment. Ideal candidates have knowledge of and experience with IT know how to combine commodity expertise with commercial awareness possess excellent negotiation skills and are familiar with the development and implementation of commodity strategies and sourcing plans.
