Cloud Operations Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Job responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Monitor environments for security vulnerabilities and independently take action to remediate and/or mitigate risks.
• Deploy and support framework and tools for MultiCloud Platform.
• Promote Cloud usage best practices across multiple organizations.
• Able to work in both Linux and Windows based environments and associated code frameworks.
• Lead the maintenance of a secure and scalable cloud (AWS) infrastructure platform.
• Collaborate with product development architecture and IT teams on evaluation and implementation of new services based on the requirements.
• Manage account administration on complex multiCloud platform.
• Participate in an oncall rotations to provide coverage during off business hours.
• Provide timely and appropriate communication to business owners stakeholders and users on issue status and resolution.
• Troubleshoot production issues engage appropriate parties and drive through to resolution.
• Collaborate with teams across the company to improve the overall operational maturity of Cloud and onpremises solutions.
• Opportunity to continually improve operational processes and procedures.
• Maintain Cloud security guidelines standards and best practices within the Cloud architecture within Global Breeding;

Qualifications Experience and Competency Requirements:

Education:

Bachelors in computer related field such as Computer Science Information Systems or Management Information Systems

Experience

Essential:

• 3 years of experience in Cloud Operations with one/more public/private cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure).
• Ability to design and implement robust and maintainable utilities;
• Scripting/automation development skills;
• Enthusiasm for collaborative iterative development high quality and robust systems;
• Experience managing operational monitoring metrics and logging systems;
• Experience designing implementing and operating build & release automation and continuous integration and deployment;
• Demonstrated history of seeking out and bringing in new ideas;
• Unix system administration skills preferably in a container focused environment;
• Experience operating automating and scaling cloudbased Docker/Kubernetes infrastructure platforms;
• Remains calm and effective in the face of unexpected change.

Desirable:

• Masters degree in computer science Engineering or Electronics areas
• Working experience on Agile way of working on projects and support system. Understand best practices and processes in alignment with organizational context and types of projects!
