We are currently seeking a skilled Process Designer with expertise in AutoCAD to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process design and the ability to create detailed drawings using AutoCAD software. As a Process Designer you will collaborate with engineers and other team members to develop process flow diagrams piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) and equipment layouts for various projects within the process industry.
Process Design: Utilize AutoCAD software to create detailed process drawings including process flow diagrams (PFDs) P&IDs equipment layouts and piping plans.
Collaboration: Work closely with process engineers project managers and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate conceptual designs into technical drawings.
Review and Modification: Review drawings for accuracy and completeness making revisions and modifications as necessary to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
Documentation: Maintain organized documentation of drawings revisions and project files for reference and future use.
Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks on drawings to ensure adherence to company standards client requirements and regulatory guidelines.
Communication: Effectively communicate with team members to address design issues provide updates on project progress and coordinate workflow within the department.
Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends software updates and best practices in process design to enhance skills and contribute to process improvements.
achelor s degree or equivalent certification in Chemical Engineering Process Engineering or related field preferred.
Proven experience working as a Process Designer with a focus on process flow diagrams P&IDs and equipment layouts. Experience in industries such as oil & gas chemical pharmaceutical or food and beverage is preferred.
Proficiency in AutoCAD software and familiarity with related design tools and software applications. Knowledge of process design standards and guidelines such as PIP (Process Industry Practices) and ISA (International Society of Automation) is desirable.
