Functions
- Develops sets up and oversees standards of excellence in pulmonary care across the spectrum of services. Ensures that all programs align with the organizations objectives and strategic plans.
- Coordinates treatment plans customercentric service delivery and costeffective service utilization. Ensures that all patient care adheres to administrative legal and regulatory standards and follows established policies and procedures. Collaborates with other healthcare providers to create implement and deliver efficient pulmonary care services and results.
- Assesses best practices such as systems enhancement and costeffective care models. Establishes implements and assesses practice standards to enhance quality and service for members.
- Achieves short and longterm financial targets by consistently designing developing monitoring adjusting and evaluating annual budgets. Identifies opportunities for cost reduction while upholding service quality.
- Supervises staff to ensure they are all proficient in delivering the highest level of care to members. Determines appropriate staffing levels to maintain service standards. Creates and delivers inservice training programs for medical center personnel. Addresses and resolves human resources staff department safety and risk management matters.
- Kaiser Permanente regularly reviews positions for compensation. Kaiser Permanente reserves the right to reassess and modify job descriptions or change positions from salaried to hourly pay status. Changes are typically implemented after giving notice to affected employees.
Requirements
- Experience:Four (4) years of management experience in respiratory care in a multifaceted health care systemmultiservice provider setting or academic setting required.
- Education:Bachelors degree in respiratory care health care administration nursing business administration OR completion within two (2) years OR four (4) years of equivalent experience in related field. High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
- License Certification Registration:Respiratory Care Practitioner License (California) Registered Respiratory Therapist Certificate.
Additional Requirements:
- Knowledge of federal state and local regulations.
- Demonstrated knowledge of budgeting staffing systems quality improvement and clinical care delivery in an inpatient setting.
- Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
