Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our team supporting projects. This role requires a blend of technical expertise in cloud platforms especially Azure with knowledge of AWS being a beneficial addition. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux/Unix operating systems web and application servers and experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes. This position offers a hybrid work environment requiring presence in either New York and New Jersey as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Design and deploy efficient scalable and secure cloudbased architecture on the Azure platform with AWS knowledge as an added advantage.
- Ensure optimal application performance and availability by leveraging Linux/Unix operating systems and web/application servers such as Apache Tomcat or Nginx.
- Utilize scripting languages including Python or TypeScript to automate tasks and integrate system.
- Implement continuous integration and deployment pipelines using tools like Jenkins Travis CI or Azure DevOps to streamline development and deployment processes.
- Manage containerized applications using Kubernetes ensuring high availability scalability and seamless deployment of services.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to identify cloud solutions that support the organizations objectives providing expertise on cloud infrastructure security and efficiency.
- Stay updated with the latest in cloud technology and security practices to advise on and implement stateoftheart solutions.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of handson experience with the Azure cloud platform with AWS knowledge being an asset.
- At least 3 years of experience in designing and deploying cloud architecture on Azure.
- Over 5 years of experience working with Linux/Unix operating systems and familiarity with web and application servers like Apache Tomcat or Nginx.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or TypeScript.
- Experience with continuous integration tools (Jenkins or Travis CI) and Azure DevOps.
- Extensive knowledge and practical experience with Kubernetes for managing containerized applications.
- Strong problemsolving skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills capable of engaging with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
