Job Description:
- The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife mission is to protect and enhance Oregon s fish and wildlife and their habitats for use and enjoyment by present and future generations. Located in beautiful Salem OR ODFW is seeking a highly skilled GIS Developer with credible references and related work samples to recreate ODFW s internal SageGrouse Habitat Quantification Tool (HQT) from ArcGIS 10.5 into ArcGIS Pro using disciplined software development processes. Below is a specific statement of work and the skillset we are seeking
Applicable Skills:
- A bachelors degree in a related area
- At least 5 years of experience with a working knowledge of relational databases clientserver concepts and web site development
- Expert knowledge of ESRI GIS software and applied technologies including ArcGIS Desktop ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise
- Expert skills in JavaScript ArcGIS API for JavaScript and Python
- Experience in cartography (desired)
- Experience creating REST/SOAP APIs Web Services and/or JSON services
- Experience in working with mobile applications and GPS Units
- Experience developing GIS applications in a web or desktop environment
- Experience developing applications using Microsoft Visual Studio
- Relational database management experience with ArcSDE databases in MS SQL Server 2012 or above
- Strong SQL knowledge
- Experience in complex spatial analysis for natural resource projects (desired)
- Experience managing geospatial databases including conversion of digital data in various formats and completing FGDC metadata
- Excellent writing skills
