Overview:
As a Plumbing Design Engineer you will play a crucial role in the design and development of plumbing systems for various construction and infrastructure projects. You will work closely with architects mechanical engineers and construction teams to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of plumbing solutions that comply with industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed plumbing layouts and schematics using AutoCAD software
- Conduct hydraulic and load calculations to ensure optimal system performance
- Collaborate with architects and construction teams to integrate plumbing systems into building designs
- Review and interpret plumbing codes and standards to ensure compliance
- Prepare technical reports and documentation for plumbing designs and specifications
- Perform site visits to assess plumbing system requirements and provide onsite support
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to select appropriate plumbing materials and equipment
- Participate in project meetings and provide technical expertise on plumbing design matters
- Conduct design reviews and offer recommendations for improvements

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 67 years of experience in plumbing system design and engineering
- Proficiency in using AutoCAD and other relevant design software
- Thorough understanding of plumbing codes and regulations
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills
- Strong project management capabilities
- Ability to perform hydraulic calculations and system modeling
- Familiarity with sustainable and green plumbing design principles
- Experience with value engineering and costeffective design solutions
- Knowledge of building information modeling (BIM) and its application to plumbing design
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams
