We are seeking a PartTime Breakfast Attendant to join our team of professionals in an established hotel property where our standards are high and we reward hard work and dedication. The principal goal of our Attendants is to guarantee that our customers have a great start to their day. Responsibilities include setting up and clearing meal service ensuring the buffet remains fully stocked at all times and communicating customers drinks orders as needed. Warm knowledgeable service and helpful guidance reassure guests they ve made the right choice to stay with us. Our ideal candidate is a people person someone who enjoys connecting with our customers and possesses exceptional communication and customer service skills. The work can be challenging but expectations are always clear and we have cultivated an environment where support is freely offered and available.
Job Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome all guests and take beverage and food requests in a prompt and professional manner
- Be attentive to guests needs
- Prepare food and beverages for service to guests and present food according to established health and presentation standards
- Clear and clean tables promptly and efficiently. Clean and/or wipe down tables chairs walls windows mirrors and floors as necessary
- Perform department/outlet opening or closing duties as required. Ensure that waitstaff stations are clean and maintained throughout the shift
- Follow hotel safety protocols and procedures at all times. Immediately report any safety/service incident to the Supervisor or Manager on duty
- Take action to solve guest problems/complaints and use established guidelines for any service recovery to ensure guest satisfaction
- Work as a team and communicate and coordinate with other departments to ensure excellent quality and service
- May receive guest payments and process transactions as outlined in the cash and charge procedures as needed
- May assist with other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must have a California ServSafe Food Handler certification at the time of hire
- Previous restaurant service experience is preferred
- Ability to carry or lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Passionate about people and service
- Ability to pleasantly and professionally communicate when interacting with guests and employees
- Basic math skills required
- Ability to work early morning shifts
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and/or holidays
