Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Client Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in client relationship management within the accountancy or finance sector coupled with technical accounting expertise. The Client Manager will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of approximately 100 small SME clients providing consultative guidance proactive support and ensuring the delivery of exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong longlasting relationships with clients.
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients addressing inquiries concerns and providing timely support.
- Understand clients business needs and goals to offer tailored financial solutions and advice.
- Proactive Advisory Services:
- Utilize technical accounting knowledge to offer proactive advice and guidance to clients helping them optimize their financial performance and mitigate risks.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency within clients financial operations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to provide relevant insights to clients.
- Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyse clients financial statements and reports to identify areas for improvement and growth opportunities.
- Prepare and present financial reports forecasts and recommendations to clients.
- Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal teams including tax advisors auditors and other professionals to ensure coordinated service delivery to clients.
- Provide mentorship and support to junior staff members as needed.
- Client Retention and Growth:
- Proactively identify opportunities to expand services and grow client accounts.
- Monitor client satisfaction and address any concerns or issues promptly to ensure high retention rates.

Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in accounting Finance or related field. Professional qualifications such as ACA ACCA or CIMA are highly desirable.
- Minimum of 45 years of experience in client relationship management within an accountancy practice or financial services firm.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge with the ability to interpret and analyse financial statements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
- Proven track record of providing proactive advisory services and driving client satisfaction.
- Ability to manage a large portfolio of clients efficiently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite.
