AWS is looking for the right individuals for the Licensed Practical Nurse position in Alberta and Saskatchewan. LPN may work in a variety of health care settings including hospitals homecare community health centers continuing care facilities clinics urgent care centers and in clients homes.

AWS is looking to fill temporary positions to meet the healthcare systems immediate needs.

Duties:

• Take and record vital signs collect various samples dress wounds monitor progress and report reactions to treatment as well as educate patients and families.
• Advocate for patient needs and take appropriate action to ensure the safety and wellbeing of those in their care.
• Work collaboratively with patients families and the health care team to provide highquality treatment and care to Albertans.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse or Bachelor of Nursing program.
• Current AHS employees will not be considered for this position.
• Active registration or willingness to register prior to the placement date is required.
• Vulnerable sector search proof not older than 90 days.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Health Care Provider (BCLSHCP)

Preferred Qualification

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.
• Available to work days nights evenings and weekends for 8 and 12 hours shift.
• Drivers license (preferred).

Pay: $35.00$50.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Night shift
• Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

• Overtime pay

• Alberta: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
