Carpenters Helper

• Understand the specified requirements of the client and work accordingly.
  
• Read construction layouts and blueprints to plan work processes.
  
• Utilize framing or finish carpentry experience.
  
• Provide training mentorship and support for Apprentices as required.
  
• Ensure adherence to maintenance standards and codes.
  
• Assist with a variety of work scopes required for maintenance tasks and projects including groundwork elevations and ground compaction for barrel placements.
  
• Undertake any other duties as assigned.
  

• Valid Class 5 Driver s License is required.
  
• CSTS and OSSA Regional Orientation OSSA BSO (Basic Safety Orientation before December 31 2018) or CSO (Common Safety Orientation after January 1 2019) is required.
  
• High School Diploma preferred.
  
• Previous Renovations Experience an asset.
  
• 3 years experience in a similar role.
  
• Previous oil and construction industry experience preferred.
  
• Ability to pass a comprehensive Drug Alcohol and Physical Demand Assessment
  
• Ability to stand crouch and kneel for long periods of time.
  
• Manual dexterity.
  
• Balance for working on scaffolding.
  
• Strong mathematical scientific mechanical and logical reasoning abilities.
  
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a work team.
  
Fluent in spoken written and reading English.
