To undertake legal casework relating to Public Rights of Way. Core tasks
- To provide legal advice and have conduct of a caseload of Public Rights of Way matters to be submitted to the Planning Inspectorate.
- To include reviewing documentation drafting of statement of reasons interviewing users and preparing witness statements and comments on objections.
- Liasing with Paralegals and Senior lawyers as required.
- Such other duties and responsibilities of a similar grade and nature as required.
Essential
- Solicitor
- Experience of working in a local government legal environment using up to date and authoritative knowledge to support delivery of services.
- Experience of working to deadlines and managing own caseload.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing to both internal and external parties.
- Strong analytical and research skills with ability to apply such to ensure service area objectives are achieved.
- Ability to work under pressure and organise a range of complex activities and priorities.
- Knowledge of Public Rights of Way Law.
