Job Description

Screenings and AV Assistant

Job Summary:

Handling the technical setup for the indoor and outdoor film screenings related to the projects on hand in Amman and the Governorates. Testing movies prior to their screening. In addition to following up on the equipment maintenance checklist. In charge of the AV equipment, pertaining to the Communication department. Maintaining the Communication department's stock of films and books, both physical and electronic archives.

Duties & Responsibilities:

.

Responsible for all aspects of operating AV equipment for RFC film screenings, as well as other RFC activities when required.

.

Adhere to procedures and practices instructed by the supervisor in terms of operating equipment.

.

Implement full rehearsal on-site for AV equipment prior to any screening/event as required.

.

Test equipment to ensure they are in good working condition. Perform minor repairs as needed and conduct routine cleaning of audio and video equipment.

.

Ensure that all technical requirements are fulfilled for any indoor or outdoor screening.

.

Provide a list of requirements for each screening setup.

.

Responsible for all Communication AV equipment, as per signed inventory.

.

Responsible for checking screened film from a technical perspective.

.

Responsible for AV equipment maintenance (whether in-house or externally). Including obtaining offers from vendors, negotiating prices, and following up on the whole process of maintenance and settlement of payments.

.

Responsible for conducting and updating AV equipment inventory and ensuring correct storing of AV equipment under the set procedures and good conditions for the equipment.

.

Suggest procurement of new equipment and obtain offers as per the internal procurement process.

.

Maintain the amphitheater control room and AV equipment storeroom are organized and safe.

.

Provide technical support to the Communication Department: shooting interviews, editing when required, and events documentation both still photos and videos.

.

Responsible for the inventory of Film Library’s assets in both physical and electronic archiving. Conduct regular inventory and maintain assets as per set procedures.

.

Perform any additional task as required by the direct supervisor or Communication Manager.

.

Job specifications:

Education:

Experience and training as an AV operator. Technical and Engineering Education is a plus.

Experience:

2 - 3 years in using AV equipment.

Film culture is a plus.

Updated with the latest A/V technologies.

Online research is a plus.

Advanced experience with AV electronic devices
