Job Description:

As a Release Manager you will play a critical role in coordinating and overseeing the release process. Working closely with crossfunctional teams you will ensure the smooth and timely delivery of releases while maintaining the integrity and quality of our products and services.

Responsibilities:

• Release Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to plan and prioritize release schedules based on business objectives customer needs and development timelines.
• Risk Management: Identify assess and mitigate risks that may impact the release schedule quality or deployment process.
• Issue Resolution: Address issues and conflicts that arise during the release process including technical issues resource constraints and dependencies.
• Communication: Keep stakeholders informed about release status key milestones and any changes to the release plan through regular status updates release notes and stakeholder meetings.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that releases meet quality standards and are thoroughly tested before deployment by coordinating testing efforts reviewing test results and conducting prerelease validations.
• Deployment Management: Oversee the deployment of releases into production environments ensuring smooth and successful deployment with minimal disruption to users.
• PostRelease Support: Provide support and troubleshooting assistance to users and stakeholders following release deployment addressing any issues or concerns that arise.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and uptodate documentation related to release planning processes and procedures including release plans deployment guides and release notes.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization in the release management process implement best practices and drive continual improvement efforts.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or related field.
• Proven experience in release management or related roles in the software industry.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies including Agile and DevOps.
• Experience with release automation tools such as Jenkins Azure DevOps or GitLab CI/CD.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with crossfunctional teams.
• Strong organizational and problemsolving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fastpaced dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of ITIL and IT service management principles is a plus.
• Certification in release management or Agile methodologies (e.g. Certified ScrumMaster) is desirable.
