Job Description

Regional Director (Janitorial Services)

Are you looking for a stimulating and dynamic job Would you like to be part of a team that believes in your potential This is the job for you! We are currently looking for a Regional Director for one of our clients a leader in real estate service provision and personalized facility management services. This role will support Montreal and its surrounding regions as well as certain areas in Eastern Ontario including Ottawa Cornwall and Kingston.

What is in it for you:

Salary of $100.000 to $120.000 per year depending on experience.
Permanent position: onsite employment with required travel in Qu bec and Ontario
Fulltime position: 40 hours per week.
Flexible schedules: evenings weekends and availability for oncall/standby and emergency callouts are required.
An allowance and gas card will be provided if using your own vehicle: possessing a valid drivers license is essential.
Comprehensive benefits package: medical dental and vision coverage from 80 to 100% available after probationary period.
Vacation: 2 weeks per year.

Responsibilities:

The Regional Director will provide guidance and leadership to Management advising on strategies to help the company achieve its strategic goals and objectives while enhancing operating performance.

Oversee the efficient and effective daytoday operation of the organization.
Will be require to work with multiple Client accounts.
Identify assess and inform the Executive team of internal and external issues that affect the organization or its people (clients staff management etc.) property finances goodwill and image and implement measures to control risks or resolve the issue.
Ensure that the operation of the organization meets the expectations of its stakeholders.
Develop and implement an operational plan which incorporates goals and objectives that work towards the strategic direction of the organization.
Monitor the daytoday delivery of the programs and services of the organization to maintain or improve quality and ensure that the programs and services offered by the organization contribute to the organizations mission and reflect the priorities of the Company.
Establish a positive healthy and safe work environment in accordance with all appropriate legislation and regulations.
Implement a performance management process for all staff which includes monitoring the performance of staff on an ongoing basis and conducting an annual performance review.
Coach and mentor staff as appropriate to improve performance.
Discipline staff and subcontractors when necessary using appropriate techniques; terminate when necessary using appropriate and legally defensible procedures.
Identify and lead new business opportunities oversee the development of fund raising plans and write funding proposals to increase the funds of the organization.
Approve expenditures within the authority delegated by the Executive team.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the President or Vice President.

What you will need to succeed:

Bachelors degree in business or a related field is preferred but not required.
Prior management experience in the applicable industry at a senior management level.
Experience in janitorial services would be a strong asset.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Strong negotiation skills.
Effective presentation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including: Excel Word Outlook and PowerPoint.
Detailoriented with excellent organizational skills.
Analytical skills including demonstrated abilities to reconcile financial data and metrics prepare reports and read technical manuals are necessary.
Adaptability and willingness to be flexible versatile and tolerant in a changing work environment while maintaining effectiveness and efficiency.
Ability to speak listen and write in a clear thorough and timely manner using appropriate and effective communication tools and techniques.
Bilingual in English and French.
Ability to anticipate understand and respond to the needs of internal and external clients to meet or exceed their expectations within the organizational parameters.
Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals resolve problems and make decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness.
Ability to positively influence others to achieve results that are in the best interest of the organization.
Ability to set priorities develop a work schedule monitor progress towards goals and track details data information and activities.
Ability to assess problem situations to identify causes gather and process relevant information generate possible solutions and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem.
Capable of lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Possess a valid drivers license.
