Responsibilities and duties:
Provide IP administration support to a team of Patent Attorneys as required. Duties will include:
Coordinating with attorneys and administration team to identify and manage deadlines.
Tracking/updating due dates via Memotech Database system.
Patent formalities (preparing documents such as POAs Assignments using templates )
Preparing applications for filing via EPO UKIPO PCT online filing tools.
Corresponding with foreign agents to file patents (national phase entry EP validation) and other official patent actions (such as requesting examination paying fees) via email.
Handling ad hoc formal patent requirements.
Preparing correspondence (emails official letters )

Personal skills:
Reliable administrator: well organized careful and precise with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work as part of a team reporting to the UK Team Lead.
Ability to work independently once trained to prioritize and multitask effectively and efficiently.
Outstanding communication & interpersonal skills: Role will involve Interaction with attorneys administrators and external agents.
At ease in an international environment.
Flexibility and agility to adapt to different ways of working.
Experience and qualifications:
CIPA patent paralegal/administrator qualification an advantage but not mandatory.
Ideally looking for previous experience in a patent administration role but would consider candidates with general office administration experience with the right skills and a willingness to learn patents.
Good working knowledge in patent databases (or general data entry): Memotech / Inprotech First to file / electronic file system or similar.
Good working knowledge of online filing tools an advantage (EPO OLF ePCT UK filings)
Good working knowledge of Microsoft office (word outlook excel) required
Good knowledge in English oral and written.
