Responsibilities:
- Perform installation tasks as noted in the project s Scope of Works (SOW)
- Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints
- Support the Project Manager with site supervision of the install team communication of daily job site status and completion of required job documentation
- Act as customer liaison on site per project scope and directives. Direct onsite change request to Project Manager for confirmation and final direction
- Communicate and coordinate with other trades on site
- Use hand and power tools for various system installation related task including soldering and termination of connectors including but not limited to XLR RJ45 fiberoptic and coaxial.
- Fabricate AV Rack as per elevation drawing with professional cable management Work with manufacturers to initiate return material authorization as needed
- Test point to point cabling functionality of systems and code for control and DSP systems.
- Support and Engineer or Programmer with minor programming changes to DSPs or room processors
- Configure IP addressable devices to establish communication on network
- Create track and complete a project punch list
- Complete preventative maintenance checks diagnosis and necessary repair.
Requirements
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Progressive experience in installing and maintaining complex AudioVisual systems in a commercial environment.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of installation experience in the audio visual electronics or related industry required.
- Preferred experience working in the hospitality healthcare and/or postsecondary industries.
- Conventional commercial AV technical stack: Crestron NVX QSC Qsys Biamp ClearOne Dante Shure etc.
- Preferred certifications in CTS CTSI Extron AV Associate Biamp Tesira Forte Biamp AV Lab and Crestron Professional Installation.
- Flexibility to work in various environments from construction sites to finished corporate offices.
- Must have a valid Driver s License and a clean driving record.
Requirements: University graduate or equivalent experience with further studies in AV installation, data or voice communications, or drafting. Minimum of 4 years' experience in an electrical and/or communications environment. Understanding of project management practices and customer service obligations. Knowledge of electrical, electronic, communications, and computer products and equipment. Proficiency in oral and written English grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Familiarity with building construction and blueprint reading. Experience with the AV Commercial Integrator Navigate system, specifically for change orders and delay notices feedback to the Project Manager. CTS-I Certification Preferred
