Key Responsibilities

• Performing microbiological testing and analysis on a variety of samples
• Developing and validating microbiological methods and assays
• Implementing quality control measures to ensure accuracy and precision in all analyses
• Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment and instruments
• Collaborating with crossfunctional teams to support product development and manufacturing processes
• Assessing and interpreting data to generate accurate and reliable results
• Preparing reports and documentation for internal and regulatory purposes
• Conducting environmental monitoring and identification of microorganisms
• Participating in root cause analysis and problemsolving activities
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory efficiency and effectiveness
• Adhering to safety protocols and promoting a culture of compliance within the laboratory
• Staying updated with industry trends and developments through continuous learning and professional development
• Ensuring adherence to relevant regulatory standards and best practices
• Training and mentoring junior staff in microbiological techniques and procedures

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Microbiology Biology or related field; Masters degree preferred
• Proven experience in a microbiology laboratory setting preferably in a regulated industry
• Strong knowledge of microbiological techniques including microbial culturing and identification
• Experience in assay development and validation using microbiological methodologies
• Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation with a high level of attention to detail
• Familiarity with quality control principles and practices in microbiology
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instruments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective reporting and documentation
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the microbiology field such as USP EP and FDA guidelines
• Commitment to upholding high ethical and professional standards in all work activities
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fastpaced laboratory environment
• Proficiency in relevant computer applications and software for data analysis and reporting
