Electrician

We are currently seeking skilled and qualified Electricians to join our team. As an Electrician you will be responsible for installing maintaining and repairing electrical systems and equipment in compliance with South African electrical regulations and safety standards. Tasks

• Install maintain and repair electrical systems and equipment adhering to South African electrical codes and safety standards
• Interpret and work from technical drawings blueprints and wiring diagrams to complete installations and repairs accurately
• Conduct inspections diagnose electrical faults and troubleshoot problems using appropriate testing equipment and diagnostic tools
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with regulations
• Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors as required to complete projects on time and within budget
• Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices and junior electricians
• Maintain accurate records of work performed including materials used labor hours and job progress

Requirements

• Completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program or equivalent training and experience
• Electrician trade certificate or wiremans license issued by the Department of Employment and Labour in South Africa
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working as an electrician in commercial industrial or residential settings in South Africa
• Thorough knowledge of South African electrical regulations and codes (e.g. Wiring Code SANS 10142)
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings blueprints and electrical schematics
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve electrical problems efficiently
• Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols and procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
