Job Description

JOB TITLE: DENTIST

REPORTS TO: DENTAL DIRECTOR

LOCATION: LAGOS NIGERIA

Our client is a Group of companies with over 3 decades of business operations in areas such as power generation real estate construction and automobile. The Group has so far established itself as a renowned and trusted brand providing reliable topquality solutions for Nigerians.

JOB PURPOSE

The dentist will be responsible for providing a range of dental procedures (e.g. diagnose and provide treatment)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Deliver superior quality care to all patients regardless of socioeconomic status or cultural background.

Diagnoses and treats diseases injuries and malformations of teeth and gums and related oral structures.

Examines patients; utilizes xrays mirrors explorers and other diagnostic procedures and instruments.

Cleans fills extracts and replaces teeth using rotary and hand instruments dental appliances medications and surgical implements.

Designs and builds crowns bridges and other oral structures.

Plans program of examination and treatment for patient clientele.

Participate in management and staff meetings and other Board and misc. meetings and retreats if appropriate.

Follow current protocol and procedures relative to personnel expenditures and purchases

Develop and implement patient dental education programs by currently acceptable dental practices.

Maintain written records as required by law and ensure quality dental health care and sound fiscal and management control.

Provide direct dental care to Clinic patients.

Participate in planning with administrative medical staff and the Board and follow through with goals as they are set.

Directly supervises dental staff.

Maintains strict patient confidentiality.

Procedures including the application of prostheses sealers and whiteners


Educational/Professional Requirement

Valid state dental license

Certified in CPR

Good interpersonal skills and communication

Computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite

Accurate and precise attention to detail

Compassionate and caring of patients

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Calm and coolheaded with a positive attitude
