Job Description

  • Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial reports for Group finances IAM entities under Group Finance SDPB (listed holding company) and intermediate holding companies and Selected semiactive and dormant entities.
  • Preparation of AC and BOD papers including related party transactions annual audit fees nonaudit fees dividends and adhoc financial reporting.
  • Consistently assess financials for nonproperty development JV and associate and BPS financials.
  • Implement and update group accounting policies for new accounting standards and new transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with MFRS group accounting policies and Companies Act (where applicable to financial reporting) by reviewing groupwide practices on a rotational basis and as needed.
  • Responding to internal and external request from stakeholders such as interdepartmental support (GMD office GCAD Corporate Planning Group Risk Sustainability etc) MSWG shareholders.
  • Prepare monthly forecast group annual operating plan and midyear review.
  • Identify gap for management decisions and action by analysing monitoring and report variances between actual performance against budget.
  • Handle annual report and AGM including GCFO statement management discussion and analysis while review all financialrelated matters.
  • Serve as board member of all Cat B nonPD subsidiaries and JVs actively participating as an OC and exco member attending meetings providing input and approving matters within the purview of the Board/Committee including BU1 responsibilities.
  • Advice input for financial reporting implications particularly regarding consolidated financial impact or around group while review non PD (OTC 1 and 2 papers)
  • Evaluation of financial assessments of nonPD* Group Tender Committee and Board Tender Committee papers (to be reviewed under OD review)
  • Evaluate and authorize nonPD approval documents based on LOA while providing financial guidance and support to operations including BU1 responsibilities.
  • Assist with existing processes and procedures upon consultation and oversee actions taken by entity accountants to address identified internal control weaknesses.
  • Continuously evaluate the organizations staffing structure and job assignments within the Consolidation/FP&A team.
  • Assist the GCFO in conducting the annual review of organizational design for Group Finance and setting while monitor team KPIs.
  • Manage the recruitment process for finance staff within the consolidation/FP&A team while support for recruiting finance staff outside Group Finance such as operational finance roles.
  • Identify training needs and provide necessary training sessions by guiding and coaching the team.


Requirements

  • A Bachelor s Degree in Accounting / Finance or other related discipline.
  • Gained professional qualification such as ACCA/ ICAEW/ MICPA/ CIMA/ CPA or MIA member.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in finance with at least 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Experience in preparing financial reports for diverse entities including Group finances listed holding companies and subsidiaries.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively in a fastpaced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Experience serving on boards or committees related to finance functions is a plus.
  • Able to work independently and diligently.
