Job Description

Job Title: Data Manager (Telephony Migration Project)

Location: Rockville MD (Onsite)

Duration: LongTerm

Interview: MS Teams Video Call

Visa: USC or GC Only

Note: Candidates must be local to Rockville MD and provide proof of location and/or drivers license. LinkedIn ID required.

Job Description:

We are seeking a Data Manager to support the MDs Cloud Telephony Project. This role will play a crucial part in integrating and migrating staff to MS Teams and Avaya telephony solutions. The position is hybrid with Thursday and Friday available as telework days. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting validating and managing departmentallevel data in alignment with the site migration schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the client Telecom team project management team and other key personnel to gather and update user telephone extension and associated data for departments and migration sites.
  • Work with database and frontend developers to enhance and maintain an online database for organizing user and extension data.
  • Manage requests for database exports and reports.
  • Support the Telecom team and departments in the data turnup process to ensure accurate data alignment before migrating users to their assigned telephony solution.
  • Crossverify data with project team members and correct any discrepancies.
  • Assist the Telecom team in preparing and submitting final reports to vendors in preparation for site migrations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for managing the online database developing all associated documentation and training materials for database users.
  • Schedule and conduct training sessions for database users and department migration leads.

Required Skills:

Bachelors degree in data management Computer Science Information Technology Business or related field.

  • Proven experience in data management focusing on data collection validation and reporting.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel including advanced formulas pivot tables and data visualization tools.
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams and Avaya telephony solutions is highly advantageous.
  • Understanding of database technologies data modeling and SQL.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills able to work effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical organizational and problemsolving abilities.
  • Detailoriented with a focus on accuracy and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in data management software and tools.
  • Ability to create clear and comprehensive documentation and training materials for nontechnical users.

Desired Skills:

  • Prior experience as a Telecom Engineer or Project Manager on a telephony migration project.
