Overview:
An ERP System Administrator plays a crucial role in managing and maintaining the organizations Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. They are responsible for ensuring the smooth operation security and performance of the ERP system as well as providing technical support to end users. The ERP System Administrator is a key player in optimizing business processes and ensuring data integrity across various functional areas of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install configure and maintain ERP software and related applications
- Understanding of SQL data administration and custom reports using system software
- Assist users in all aspects of ERP system use
- Manage the configuration and operation of onpremise ERP systems; provide technical support for ERP and software issues.
- Monitor the system daily respond immediately to security and usability concerns and resolve help desk requests.
- Implement and upgrade systems and processes as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution and manage infrastructure to include firewalls databases malware protection software and other processes as they relate to ERP software.
- Review application logs and respond to and resolve help desk requests.
- System backup disaster recovery and ensuring system uptime and availability.
- Collaborate with functional teams to customize and enhance ERP functionality
- Collaborate with vendors and internal IT teams on system upgrades
- Ensure data security and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Develop and maintain system backup and recovery plans
- Manage user permissions and roles
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field
- 3 years of experience in ERP system administration
- Proficiency in ERP software installation configuration and maintenance
- Strong understanding of database administration and SQL
- General knowledge of ERPMRP applications and how they work for functional areas such as Finance Order Management Engineer to Order Warehouse/Inventory and Reporting.
- Facilitate design and create business reporting with native Microsoft Business Intelligence tools such as SQL Server Reporting Services Microsoft Excel Microsoft Power BI or similar tools.
- Ability to speak about both business and technical processes based on the audience that you are addressing supporting or working with.
- Demonstrated ability to work with functional leaders and team members to discover document design and implement business processes on an ERP application platform.
- Basic project management skills that demonstrate your ability to build manage and execute a plan both in terms of selfmanagement as well as working with small process improvement teams.
- Certifications in ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle ) are a plus
