Shift Mechanical Fitter Fiber Plant - Springs

• Conduct inspections and tests on machinery and equipment to identify malfunctions.Disassemble machinery equipment and devices to gain access to and repair or replace malfunctioning parts.
  
• Reassemble machinery and equipment upon completion of maintenance or repair work.
  
• Execute routine maintenance tasks such as checking drives motors belts fluid levels replacing filters and other preventive maintenance activities.
  
• Identify mechanical issues and determine corrective actions consulting blueprints repair manuals and parts catalogs when necessary.
  
• Verify the functionality of equipment postrepair to ensure it is operational and ready for use.
  
• Document maintenance and repair activities providing detailed reports and records to the Supervisor.
  
• Oversee and adhere to the schedule of maintenance programs or repair tasks assigned.
  
• Maintain compliance with company policies health and safety standards and housekeeping protocols
  

Requirements

• Red Seal Certificate as a Mechanical Fitter with N4N6
  
• At least 5 years of experience in a Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) setting with a preference for candidates having over 10 years of experience.
  
• Comprehensive understanding of the operation and maintenance of mechanical machinery.
  
• Indepth knowledge of transformers vacuum pumps rotors and ovens.
  
• Capable of independently diagnosing issues dismantling and reassembling machinery.
