Animal Feed Production Lead

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Animal Feed Production Manager to oversee our feed manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in feed production management a keen attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. As the Animal Feed Production Manager you will be responsible for:

Planning organizing and managing all aspects of the animal feed production process including scheduling staffing and resources allocation.

Ensuring compliance with safety quality and regulatory standards in all production activities including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and other relevant regulations.

Leading and supervised a team of production staff providing guidance training and performance feedback to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency.

Collaborating with the procurement team to manage inventory levels of raw materials and ingredients and coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality assurance.

Monitoring production metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes reduce costs and enhance product quality.

Troubleshooting production issues identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions to prevent a recurrence.

Maintaining accurate production records reports and documentation and providing regular updates to senior management on production performance and KPIs.

Implementing and enforcing best practices for equipment maintenance sanitation and hygiene to ensure the cleanliness and integrity of the production facility.

Developing and implementing training programs for production staff to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.

Requirements

Bachelors degree or higher in Food Science Animal Science Engineering or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in feed manufacturing or a related industry with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.

Strong knowledge of feed production processes equipment and technology as well as relevant safety and quality standards.

Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and engage a diverse team.

Proven track record of successfully managing production operations optimizing processes and achieving production targets.

Experience with quality management systems (QMS) lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.

Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards in animal feed production.

Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fastpaced environment.
