About the Role:
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy
You will be responsible for defining the annual Education Financing (E.F.) business development sales strategy and budget. This will encompass market research competitor analysis and the identification of growth opportunities.
You will take on the critical task of overseeing and managing the Education Financing portfolio. Youll be responsible for maintaining the portfolios health and performance optimizing returns while mitigating risk exposure and ensuring that it aligns with the organizations longterm financial goals.
You will be responsible for creating a motivating and goaldriven incentive structure for the sales team. Regularly assessing and adjusting incentives based on performance data will be a key aspect of your responsibility to keep the team motivated and aligned with the organizations sales objectives.
Your focus will be on achieving not just sales growth but profitable growth in sales and loan disbursements. Youll collaborate with crossfunctional teams to identify costeffective methods for scaling operations and optimising profitability.
You will establish transparent communication channels for Sales Key Performance Indicators. Regular performance reviews and continuous monitoring of KPIs will provide actionable insights and recommendations to the sales team.
You will be responsible for building a topperforming Education Financing sales team. Recruiting mentoring and coaching top talent fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Youll be focused on optimizing the productivity of the Education Financing sales team. Implementing efficient processes providing training and equipping the team with the tools they need to maximize their sales performance and consistently achieve their targets
Aspira is a consumer finance business currently focused on hire purchase/ product financing in Kenya financing retail clients who then use the product financing to acquire consumer durables. They recently launched a B2B business focused on providing SMEs with assetbacked financing solutions. Aspira has recently launched an Education Financing (E.F) business that is currently focused on providing retail clients (parents of school and tertiary institution students) with school fee financing. Aspira also has an ambition to start offering financing solutions to schools e.g. for buses computer equipment classroom additions or renovations etc.

MustHaves:
At least 5 years experience in financial services with a focus on education financing
A degree in management business administration or any relevant fields
Relationship Management experience in a teambased sales environment
Accountability of an Education Financing focused sales team
Proven leadership at the business level including sales & P&L accountability
A proven record of working with a wide range of financial services products services and processes
Good understanding of regulatory guidelines credit risk operational risk processes and operations necessary to support sales operating model channels and product
An indepth knowledge of the current market and emerging trends that may highlight areas for improvement risks or opportunities for our customers
Nice to have
Good understanding of the education system
Strong sales acquisition skills.
