Position Description
As a Customer Services Coordinator your focus is to provide customers with the best possible experience. You do this by acting as a key point of contact for those customers from start to finish. Its dynamic challenging and rewarding. Communication is essential and no day is the same.
Specific tasks and responsibilities
- Accurately follow the progress of transport processes for your key accounts being an important point of contact for our customers giving them the best possible experience.
- Keep the customer informed and solve any problems concerning for instance the necessary documentation or fixing a different delivery time.
- Update Samskip systems with cargo details matching the commercial invoices from shippers or any other changes requested by the customer.
- Arranging the collections and/or deliveries
- Providing track & trace information e.g. in case of delays or longer transit time than requested by customer
- Handling and charging of additional revenue: FOP charges Waiting hours Quay rent
- Solving issues that can occur for an order; delays wrongly loaded goods adding and changing references or any exception that can occur during a transport
Knowledge and Skills
- Accurate in the execution of tasks.
- Ability to handle a high volume of work.
- An altruist and collaborative approach to customer and colleagues.
- Polished and professional writing skills.
- Ability to listen and explain (complex) requirements to others.
- Competent in the use of computers systems and a good understanding of electronic media distribution.
Education and Experience
- A high school degree.
- Experience in international transport shipping or customs is useful but not essential.
- One year experience in a similar job.
Languages
- Fluent in English both verbally and in writing.
- Knowledge of additional European languages is welcome.
