Senior AWS DevOps Engineer - API Gateway Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Senior AWS DevOps Engineer with a strong background in architecting and managing API gateway solutions on the AWS platform. In this role you will play a key role in designing implementing and optimising our API gateway infrastructure to enable seamless communication between diverse systems services and applications. and nbsp;

Responsibilities: and nbsp;

• Lead the design implementation and management of API Gateway solutions leveraging Kubernetes services like Istio Services Mesh and provider solutions like Kong API Gateway.
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to define API specifications design interfaces and implement best practices for API Management including versioning documentation security and performance optimization.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation to automate the provisioning and configuration of API gateway resources.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Concourse Jenkins or Ansible to automate the deployment of API gateway configurations and updates.
• Design and implement monitoring logging and alerting solutions to ensure the reliability availability and performance of the API gateway infrastructure leveraging AWS CloudWatch CloudTrail and other monitoring tools.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to development teams on best practices for designing and implementing APIs integrating with the API gateway and leveraging AWS services effectively.
• Stay uptodate with emerging technologies and industry trends in Kubernetes AWS DevOps and API management to drive continuous improvement and innovation in our API Gateway solutions. and nbsp;

Requirements:

• 812 years of professional experience in DevOps or software engineering roles with a focus on configuring deploying and maintaining Kubernetes in AWS.
• Extensive experience designing building and deploying API Gateway solutions including handson experience with Kong API Gateway or Spring Cloud Gateway.
• Solid understanding of API Management best practices: Authentication Authorisation Rate Limiting Load Balancing Versioning and Service Discovery.
• Strong proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform AWS CloudFormation or similar tools.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools such as Concourse Jenkins or Ansible.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture RESTful APIs and API design principles.
• Strong troubleshooting and problemsolving skills with a keen attention to detail and a passion for delivering highquality solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a fastpaced agile environment.
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field.
