Axpo Nordic is seeking a seasoned Head Mid Office & Risk Management. This critical role will steer and enhance our risk management functions ensuring we stay ahead in a dynamic market. With a focus on innovation collaboration and expertise we offer an exciting opportunity for a visionary leader to contribute to our ongoing success.

What you will do:

• Lead the measurement and monitoring of market credit and liquidity risks.
• Manage and develop a small team of risk analysts to ensure peak performance and growth.
• Actively participate in and influence companywide risk management strategies and projects interfacing with both local stakeholders and central risk teams in Switzerland.
• Engage with middle management to proactively address and position risk issues.
• Provide expert advice on riskrelated matters to the front office and management teams.
• Design create and continually enhance risk reports including the analysis and assessment of risk parameters.

What you bring & who you are:

• A university or college degree in finance mathematics statistics or economics.
• 25 years of management experience demonstrating leadership and team development skills.
• 5 years of professional experience in risk management with a profound understanding of the energy industry/trading.
• Expert knowledge of risk models/metrics and their application to reallife cases.
• Proficiency in programming language(s) for targeted application in risk management.
• Strong communication skills trustworthiness and the ability to influence middle management.
• Excellent English language skills both written and spoken.
