The project and the team

We are a team of Devops/Network Engineers working on greenfield automated firewall configuration migration workflow and client side implementations. Our Engineers support projects with their knowledge of networks and handson experience to deliver a working service from start to finish.

Other things to know:

• Every team member gets onboarded via an online training course which includes a case study live training sessions lab and individual assignments

• We are working in a multivendor environment

• We collaborate closely with Professional Services engineers on the customer side

• The client is based in the US

We work on multiple interesting projects at a time so we may invite you to an interview for another project if we see that your competencies and profile are well suited for it.

Your role

As a part of the project team you will be responsible for:

• Implementation and migration of firewall configuration into the Customers security platform

• Collection and analysis of the customers network environment and migration requirements to create customized migration workflows

• Cooperation with the team and the Customer on developing and improving automation tools to deliver migrations

Do we have a match

As a Junior Network Engineer you should ideally meet the following criteria:

• Proof of 2 years of professional handson operational experience in the field of networks or network security

• Good understanding of basic networking concepts such as IP addressing subnetting routing switching network layers and commonly used protocols

• Good understanding of the principles and features of modern firewalls

• Knowledge of Linux

• Experience with Python scripting

• Fluency in English (B2 level minimum)

• Willingness to learn you will face challenges that require creativity individual solutions and teamwork with senior peers

Beyond the criteria above we will highly appreciate:

• Knowledge of network security products from vendors like Check Point Cisco Palo Alto Fortinet Juniper

• Understanding of DevOps tools and practices

• Experience with Ansible Docker VMWare

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins GitLab CI)

• Knowledge of trends and practices in cybersecurity

• Experience working directly with external clients
