- Per Week: 36 Hours.
- Unit Capacity: 34 Beds Population Served: Adult and geriatric medical/surgical patients. Ages of Patients Served: Young Adult through Late Adult (18 60) Nurse to Patient Ratios: 1:6 Core Staffing Plan: Variable staffing grid to include: Registered Nurses (RNs) Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) Nurse Interns (NIs). An RN assumes full responsibility for the patients on each team. Staffing Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Successful completion of a rhythm test
Roles and amp; Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
- Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for wellcoordinated patient care.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patients discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
