Position: Seating Systems Engineer

Location: West Big Beaver Troy MI 48084

Job Description:

8 to 10 years of experience in Automotive Seat Design and Integration.

Experience in Design & Development of Automotive Seating Systems Sub systems and components (Seat complete / Structures / Mechanisms / Plastics / Foams)

Knowledge about sheet metal manufacturing processes / plastic moulding processes

Proficient in Seat Structure Design foam Design mechanisms plastic foam trim covers (leather fabric) and other areas of complete seat system design having experience to work with cross functional team.

Having a sound knowledge of Design Reviews Sign offs Cad data management using Team centre PLM.

Awareness of seating system regulations AIS ECE & FMVSS

Expertise in seating systems Master sections definition and layout creation.

Knowledge in Power seat design for Front row Modular seat design for all rows.

Knowledge of functional performance Durability & regulatory requirements of seating systems.

Knowledge of DFA DFM DFSS DFMEA DVP GD&T and Tolerance stackup analysis.

Knowledge of CAD/CAE tools utilized in automotive engineering.

Proficiency in Catia V5/NX 3D Cad tools (Part Assembly Surface Drawing modules)

Good working experience on Plastic & Sheet metal product design & manufacturing standards & methodologies

Good communication skills presentation skills technical report writing skills and timeline creation and management skills are required

Fluent in speaking presentation and written communication skills in English.

Work experience with International Tier 1 and OEMS.

High integrity and professionalism strong result driven high flexibility and open minded

Exposure to Tolerance stack up GD & T & ASME Y 14. 5 standards.
