Job Description

Job Title: Security Awareness and Training Specialist

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement security awareness programs and training materials to educate employees on security policies procedures and best practices.
  2. Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to assess training needs and develop targeted content tailored to various departments and roles.
  3. Conduct regular security awareness training sessions workshops and simulations to reinforce knowledge and promote a securityconscious culture.
  4. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of security awareness initiatives through metrics feedback and performance indicators.
  5. Stay abreast of emerging cybersecurity threats trends and technologies to continuously enhance training materials and adapt strategies accordingly.
  6. Provide guidance and support to employees on securityrelated inquiries incidents and concerns.
  7. Serve as a subject matter expert on security awareness and training matters offering insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
  8. Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure alignment between security awareness initiatives and technical controls.
  9. Participate in security awareness campaigns events and community outreach efforts to promote cybersecurity awareness beyond the organization.
  10. Maintain uptodate knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to security awareness and training.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelors degree in computer science Information Security or related field. Masters degree or relevant certifications (e.g. CISSP CISM Security etc.) preferred.
  2. Proven experience (X years) in developing and delivering security awareness and training programs within a corporate environment.
  3. Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles threat landscape and risk management practices.
  4. Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively convey complex security concepts to nontechnical audiences.
  5. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and work crossfunctionally to achieve security objectives.
  6. Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) content authoring tools and other technology platforms used for delivering and tracking training programs.
  7. Analytical mindset with the ability to assess program effectiveness and make datadriven decisions for continuous improvement.
  8. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  9. Commitment to staying updated on industry developments attending relevant training and pursuing continuous professional development.
  10. Ethical and trustworthy demeanor with a commitment to upholding confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information.
