Job Description

Overview:

The Design Engineer (AutoCAD) plays a crucial role in our organization by contributing to the design and development of engineering solutions and products using AutoCAD software. This role requires a meticulous and innovative individual who can translate concepts into accurate technical drawings and models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to understand project requirements.
  • Create detailed 2D technical drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD.
  • Perform design calculations and simulations to ensure product feasibility.
  • Conduct design reviews and modify designs based on feedback.
  • Assist in prototype development and testing.
  • Ensure designs comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Provide technical support to production and operations teams.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design processes.
  • Document and maintain design files specifications and reports.
  • Stay updated with the latest AutoCAD features and best practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Design Engineer with expertise in AutoCAD.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in technical drawing and 3D modeling.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and blueprints.
  • Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
  • Good understanding of product lifecycle management (PLM) systems.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Detailoriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Experience with design analysis and simulation software is a plus.
  • Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards.
  • Knowledge of material selection and mechanical component design.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Understanding of quality control and assurance processes.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple design projects concurrently.
