Overview:
The Design Engineer (AutoCAD) plays a crucial role in our organization by contributing to the design and development of engineering solutions and products using AutoCAD software. This role requires a meticulous and innovative individual who can translate concepts into accurate technical drawings and models.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to understand project requirements.
- Create detailed 2D technical drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD.
- Perform design calculations and simulations to ensure product feasibility.
- Conduct design reviews and modify designs based on feedback.
- Assist in prototype development and testing.
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Provide technical support to production and operations teams.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design processes.
- Document and maintain design files specifications and reports.
- Stay updated with the latest AutoCAD features and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience as a Design Engineer with expertise in AutoCAD.
- Demonstrated proficiency in technical drawing and 3D modeling.
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and blueprints.
- Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Good understanding of product lifecycle management (PLM) systems.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Detailoriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Experience with design analysis and simulation software is a plus.
- Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards.
- Knowledge of material selection and mechanical component design.
