Overview:
The role of a Quality Engineer is crucial to ensuring that products and processes meet the required quality standards. They play a key part in the manufacturing and production process to identify and resolve quality issues implement process improvements and maintain compliance with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality control systems
- Conduct product and process audits
- Analyze data and perform statistical analysis
- Identify root causes of quality issues
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to resolve quality issues
- Create and maintain quality documentation
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans
- Participate in new product development and design reviews
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide training on quality processes and standards
- Monitor compliance with industry regulations and standards
- Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions
- Participate in supplier quality management
- Conduct process capability studies
- Perform failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA)
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field
- Proven experience in quality engineering or related role
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools
- Experience with root cause analysis methodologies
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (e.g. ISO FDA)
- Ability to lead crossfunctional teams
- Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Detailoriented and focused on accuracy
- Ability to work in a fastpaced manufacturing environment
- Certification in Quality Engineering (CQE) is a plus
- Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g. Six Sigma Lean)
- Proficiency in quality documentation and reporting
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements
