Job Description
Title: Paginated Reports Developer
Role & Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate on Report Design Development and Testing: Work closely with business users and team members to design develop and test paginated reports using custom Oracle SQL/MS SQL.
2. Power BI Dashboard and Paginated Reports Development: Develop Power BI dashboards and paginated reports utilizing both Power BI datasets and custom SQL queries.
3. Optimize Slow Running Paginated Reports: Identify and address performance issues in paginated reports to optimize their speed and efficiency.
4. Implement Best Practices in Paginated Reports: Ensure adherence to best practices in paginated report development including layout formatting and data visualization.
5. Data Modeling: Create simple to complex data models with experience in multifact modeling being a plus.
6. Ownership and Task Execution: Take ownership of assigned tasks and execute them with minimal supervision meeting deadlines and quality standards.
7. Prioritization and Multitasking: Juggle multiple assignments identifying and prioritizing critical tasks effectively.
8. Test Planning and Coordination: Develop test plans execute them and coordinate user testing with business users to ensure the accuracy and usability of reports.
9. Documentation: Articulate and document development plans project progress and related information in written form for emails and project documentation.
10. Adaptability to New Technologies: Exhibit flexibility in learning new technologies and tools used within the organization to support evolving project needs.
Desired Skills:
Bachelors Degree: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Mathematics or a related discipline.
MS SQL Server/Oracle PL SQL: Solid experience with MS SQL Server and/or Oracle PL SQL capable of handling complex SQL queries.
SSRS and Power BI: Excellent skills in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and paginated report development in Power BI.
Project Development Life Cycle: Good knowledge of the full project development life cycle process.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to analyze data and identify insights.
Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
