Nurse manager

Tasks

1. Oversee the management and operations of the nursing home in accordance with Health Act regulations and HIQA National Quality Standards.
2. Provide leadership and clinical supervision to staff to improve standards and maintain a high morale.
3. Establish and maintain a caring environment conducive to the physical emotional social and spiritual needs of residents.
4. Coordinate staff management to ensure compliance with Sonas and statutory regulations.
5. Build and maintain respectful relationships with residents based on respect and equality.
6. Promote and practice a personcentered care ethos.
7. Manage complaints at the local level and ensure timely resolution.
8. Contribute to safeguarding residents and protect them from any form of abuse or neglect.
9. Participate in training and assessments to refresh or gain new knowledge and skills.
10. Promote and maintain a positive Health Safety Environment and Quality (HSEQ) culture.

Requirements

1. Third Level Degree in Nursing.
2. Registered with An Bord Altranais with an active PIN.
3. Proven clinical competence and a passion for delivering outstanding care to older people.
4. Minimum 3 years of experience in a management capacity and 6 years of postregistration nursing experience.
5. Experience in nursing older people within the last 6 years.
6. Postregistration qualification in healthcare management or equivalent (desirable).
7. Full Irish Drivers License and access to own transport.
8. Flexibility with rostered days and hours of work including availability for night and weekend shifts.
9. Compliance with Sonas Values Code of Conduct and Policies and Procedures.
10. Good character and health suitable for the role adhering to cleanliness and hygiene standards.
