Packaging Developer

REQUIREMENTS

• Qualifications:
  • University education.
  • Experience in Packaging Labeling or Product Development preferred particularly in the backpack industry.
  • Knowledge of global standards and regulations related to backpack packaging and labeling preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Packaging and Finishing Management: Oversee the packaging development timeline to ensure timely completion before product readiness. Implement techniques and product standards providing technical support on quality issues.
• Regulatory Compliance: Monitor regulatory changes and communicate progress to relevant teams. Update and maintain packaging specifications and database coordinating with other departments for new product development.
• Supplier Qualification: Test and qualify new packaging suppliers and materials issuing packaging specifications to related departments. Provide support to QA and Production teams in solving packaging material problems.
• Factory Collaboration: Collaborate with factories to implement assigned tasks and maintain packaging instructions for all products. Ensure strict compliance with shipping instructions.
• Quality Control Assistance: Assist other Developers in sample checking inline and final SMS inspection spec/strike off checks and new style assistance as needed.
• Additional Functions: Undertake other duties as assigned contributing to the overall success of the team and company.
